Around 2008, I started photographing the redwoods in Mendocino County. Beginning in 2012, I revisited the subject and began to expand my focus on the great redwood parks in Northern California. After many trips to Muir Woods, Humboldt Redwoods State Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, and parks in Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte County, I self-published a book focused on the redwoods in several of these Northern California parks. This project led me to continue exploring the woodlands of Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. This gallery includes some images from that book and from my further woodlands exploration.
